Position Overview
M31 Research is seeking experienced Gender Consultants to join our expert team in Zimbabwe. We are looking for professionals with a strong background in working with international organisations such as UNICEF, USAID, and other major donors. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in conducting Gender Assessments, Evaluations, and providing Technical Assistance, particularly in Zimbabwe, to promote gender equality and empower women and girls.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and participate in gender assessments, evaluations, and research projects within Zimbabwe, ensuring high-quality and impactful results that address gender inequalities.
- Provide technical assistance and advisory support to international organisations, government bodies, and other stakeholders in designing, implementing, and evaluating gender-focused programmes.
- Develop and review project proposals, technical reports, and other documentation related to gender interventions, tailored to the Zimbabwean context.
- Conduct data analysis and interpret findings to inform gender policy development and programme decisions.
- Engage with stakeholders, including communities, women’s groups, government officials, and donors, to ensure the relevance and impact of gender initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, research, and best practices in gender equality, with a particular focus on applications within Zimbabwe.
Required profile for job ad : Gender Consultants - All Cities
- A Master’s or PhD in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- A minimum of seven years of professional experience in gender-related work, with significant experience working with international organisations such as UNICEF, USAID, UN Women, or other major donors.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting gender assessments, evaluations, and providing technical assistance in Zimbabwe or similar settings.
- Expertise in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of gender-focused programmes, with a focus on achieving measurable improvements in gender equality.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.
- Familiarity with data collection tools and methodologies relevant to gender evaluations.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
