Position : Country HR- Head - Tema

The Country HR Manager is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources functions within the country, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals. This role involves managing HR Business Partners (HRBP) and Industrial Relations (IR) to foster a productive and compliant work environment. The incumbent will understand requirements of business and will work closely with customer leadership in forecasting supply and demand, and offering tailor made solutions.

Strategic HR Management:
The Human Resources Head will have a number of key priorities to focus on that include:

  • Managing the HR function of a high growth and change driven business.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to drive organizational change and development initiatives, understand business environment and work priorities to develop and execute innovative solutions
  • To partner with the leadership to understand business environment and work priorities to develop and execute innovative solutions
  • Manage employee engagement programs to improve morale and retention. Promote an environment that encourages employee growth. Review results of People Surveys and work with leadership to affect change.
  • Drive Inclusion and Diversity to ensure equity for under-represented groups, create an inclusive and welcoming work environment that supports diversity of opinions, behaviours & styles
  • Build a strong employer brand, focus on localization and ensure smooth relations with a large blue-collar workforce
  • To be a catalyst to drive HR strategy to enable the organization to be one of the premier associates experience providers
  • End-to-end diagnostics, design, program management behavioural/managerial/leadership capability tracks
  • Manage the execution and implementation of major Human Resources processes working with the team of HR representatives (e.g. annual and midyear promotions, annual performance management, compensation, and salary administration) according to geographic/entity guidelines
  • Manage associate satisfaction programs to improve morale and retention. Promote an environment that encourages employee growth. Review results of People Surveys and work with leadership to affect change. Oversee customer Community meetings/activities.
  • Championsignature processes such as Aspire on-line talent management and on-line learning & development platform iQuest
  • Evaluate, Identify and partner with training providers/vendors best in the industry to implement training & OD programs and services
  • Ability to solve problems through understanding of business priorities being able to link them to the design of the initiative
  • Influencing – Ability to work with a diverse team across zones and drive change through processes, capability building and communication
  • Able to work with multiple data inputs collectively and create point of view supported by facts in order to influence stakeholders.

Required profile for job ad : Country HR- Head - Tema

  • University degree
  • Proven HR generalist experience in FMCG organizations with demonstrated track record and good working knowledge of employment laws and employment regulatory practices.
  • Ability to build strategic partnerships. Build relationships internally and externally. Collaborates across the organization to maximize outcomes
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives for a timely and successful conclusion
  • Able to communicate at all levels. Seen as a champion of the business goals and employee development.
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written, should be able to communicate fluently in English.
