Position : Control Room Operator - Windhoek

We are looking for a Control Room Operator.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operating monitoring equipment such as closed-circuit television cameras or global positioning systems to collect data.
  • Reporting security breaches or safety hazards to line manager.
  • Observing individuals in public places or private places where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as offices or homes.
  • Collecting evidence of illegal activity or collecting information that may be used as evidence in legal proceedings.
  • Conducting internal investigations of employee misconduct or work performance issues.
  • Take control of emergency situations and response activities.
  • Follow-up and handle complaints about security service delivery failures.
  • Communicate with others via Radio / Telephone.
  • Conduct random quality checks.
  • Monitor and report the condition and status of security systems equipment and availability.
  • Ensure all shifts are fully covered, as per rosters issued.
  • Monitor vehicle tracking and report deviations.

Criteria Requirements:

  • Namibian Citizen
  • Grade 12
  • CCTV experience and qualification
  • Experience where sites are monitored on a 24/7 basis
  • Have integrity
  • Must be self-driven
  • Be able to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent observation skills
  • Conflict Handling Skills
  • Police Clearance Certificate
  • Must reside in Windhoek
  • Must be proficient in English and Afrikaans
