Position : Assistant Brand Manager - Lilongwe

We are seeking a proactive and creative Assistant Brand Manager to join our marketing team in Lilongwe, Malawi. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and executing brand strategies to drive growth and market presence for our food/FMCG products. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities :

  1. Brand Strategy:

    • Assist in the development and execution of brand plans aligned with company objectives.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and opportunities.
  2. Marketing Campaigns:

    • Support the planning and execution of marketing and promotional activities.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
  3. Product Management:

    • Oversee product launches, packaging designs, and branding materials.
    • Monitor product performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  4. Data Analysis:

    • Analyze sales data and market performance metrics to assess brand success.
    • Generate actionable insights to optimize brand positioning and growth strategies.
  5. Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Work closely with sales, operations, and production teams to align brand objectives.
    • Maintain strong relationships with distributors, suppliers, and retail partners.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or FMCG industry preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and marketing tools.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the local market in Malawi and experience in the food/FMCG sector.
