Position : Transport Manager - Nairobi

We are looking for a Transport Manager.
Job Purpose
The Transport Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all school transport operations, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient movement of students, staff, and school resources in compliance with Kenyan road safety regulations and school policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage daily school transport schedules, routes, and vehicle allocations.
  • Ensure safe and timely transportation for students, staff, and school activities.
  • Supervise, train, and manage drivers and transport staff.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance, inspections, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain transport records, including vehicle logs, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
  • Implement and enforce transport policies, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with administration and school management regarding transport needs and events.
  • Manage transport budget, procurement, and operational costs efficiently.
  • Investigate and resolve transport-related incidents or complaints.
  • Promote a culture of safety, punctuality, and professionalism among transport staff.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in transport management, preferably in a school, education, or similar environment.
  • Valid Kenyan driving license (Class B or higher) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of road safety regulations, fleet management, and vehicle maintenance.
