Position : Technical Support Specialist - Harare
We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist.
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to our clients using our ERP software. You will be responsible for resolving software-related issues, assisting with system configurations, and providing guidance on best practices. Your expertise in Windows operating systems and Microsoft SQL Server database management will be invaluable in resolving complex technical challenges. This role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong customer service orientation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and professional technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote desktop.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot software issues reported by clients, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
- Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve complex technical problems.
- Perform software installations, upgrades, and configurations in a Windows environment.
- Assist clients with database management tasks using Microsoft SQL Server, including data backup and recovery.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Conduct user training sessions to enhance client proficiency and maximize system utilization.
- Escalate critical issues to the appropriate teams and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
- Continuously expand your knowledge of our ERP system, staying updated with new features and enhancements.

Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical support or a similar role, preferably supporting ERP systems.
- Strong proficiency in Windows operating systems, including troubleshooting and configuration.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database management, including backup and recovery.
- Familiarity with HR processes and concepts is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong customer service orientation and a passion for delivering exceptional support.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
