Position : Sous Chef - Nairobi

We are looking for a Sous Chef.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to restaurant standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance during service
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and timely service during busy periods
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
  • Assist with menu preparation, portion control, and waste management
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
  • Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef

Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Culinary training or certification
