Position : Solar / Electrical System Installer - Northern Ireland

A Solar / Electrical installer is responsible for installing and maintaining solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels and solar thermal systems. They work on residential, commercial, and industrial properties to help reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
Responsibilities :

  • Install and maintain solar energy systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of systems.
  • Diagnose and repair system malfunctions.
  • Perform electrical work, including wiring, grounding, and electrical testing.
  • Create and maintain records of system installations, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Assist in designing and planning solar energy systems based on customer needs and site requirements.
  • Educate customers on system operation and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and industry advancements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes and regulations.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in solar energy systems preferred.
  • Experience working with solar energy systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, grounding, and electrical testing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot problems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to educate customers on system operation.
  • Physical ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
