Short-term Expert for Survey On Export-Oriented Garment Factories - Accra

Project Context:
Join an international collaboration funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). This initiative seeks a specialist to conduct a comprehensive survey of export-oriented garment factories in Accra, aiming to identify their current status, growth needs, and expansion strategies. The insights gained will inform targeted support and development initiatives in the Ghanian apparel industry.
Role Focus:

• Comprehensive Data Collection: Focus on gathering essential data to provide a clear picture of factory operations, challenges, and needs, enabling informed decision-making for targeted support.
• Operational Insights: Strengthen the understanding of factory conditions and requirements through structured questionnaires and direct engagement.
• Strategic Reporting: Deliver critical insights through a detailed summary report that captures the current state of factories, identifies challenges, and outlines potential growth opportunities.

Core Activities:

• Develop a detailed data collection plan for executing factory visits
• Design and develop a comprehensive survey tailored to gather data on factory operations, challenges, and needs
• Conduct on-site interviews with owners or managers at the selected factories
• Gather data through structured questionnaires and direct engagement
• Compile and organize the collected data into a coherent format for review and analysis
• Write a comprehensive report documenting the data collection process, methodologies employed, and key findings.
