Position : Senior Suppy Chain Manager - Freetown

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise our end-to-end supply chain operations. This role is responsible for overseeing procurement, inventory management, logistics, demand planning, and supplier relationships to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with strong analytical skills, deep industry knowledge, and a proven track record of improving supply chain performance in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Lead procurement, sourcing, and supplier negotiation efforts to optimise cost and quality
  • Oversee demand planning, forecasting, and inventory optimisation processes
  • Manage logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across the supply chain
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies
  • Monitor KPIs (OTIF, inventory turns, lead time, cost savings, service levels) and deliver performance reporting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Sales, and Product teams
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong expertise in procurement, planning, logistics, and supplier management
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Proven success in cost reduction and process optimisation
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Preferred Certifications

  • APICS (CPIM, CSCP)
  • Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)
  • PMP certification
