Position : Senior Project Manager - Remote
Western Governors University College (WGU College) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage high-impact projects in a fully remote environment. This role involves overseeing project lifecycles, aligning deliverables with strategic goals, and ensuring collaboration across multiple teams. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong problem-solving skills and experience in remote project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and monitor project plans, ensuring alignment with WGU College's strategic objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Implement project management best practices using Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
- Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure project continuity.
- Communicate project updates to stakeholders, executives, and team members.
- Manage project resources, performance metrics, and financial planning.
- Utilize project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project) to track progress.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement in a remote setting.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the education or edtech sector.
