Position : Senior Procurement Manager - Cape Town

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Procurement Manager to lead and oversee the organization’s procurement and sourcing strategy. This senior role is responsible for driving cost efficiency, strengthening supplier partnerships, managing risk, and ensuring a reliable and sustainable supply chain that supports the company’s long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s overall procurement and sourcing strategy.
  • Lead, guide, and manage the procurement team to achieve high performance and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate high-value contracts, pricing agreements, and long-term supply partnerships.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and supply risks to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Drive cost-reduction, value-creation, and supplier-innovation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and logistics teams to support budgeting and planning.
  • Prepare senior-level reports, forecasts, and procurement performance dashboards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or professional certification (CIPS, CPM, CSCP) is an advantage.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management, including leadership roles.
  • Strong contract negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing expertise.
  • Excellent analytical, financial, and risk-management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage large-scale procurement projects.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing global or multi-vendor supply chains.
  • Knowledge of sustainability, ethical sourcing, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in ERP and procurement management systems.
