Position : Senior Network Engineer - Mombasa

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer.
Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain up to date documentation and drawings of the LAN and WAN
  • Responsible for maintaining and administering the data center’s networks including but not limited to the delivery of network planning, design, implementation and optimization services
  • Configure, install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, internet and intranet systems to ensure that network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, good put and latency are in compliance with service level agreements
  • Establish network specifications by conferring with users, analyzing workflow, access, information and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols
  • Plan and supervise the installation, operation and administration of security for the various systems and network components including virus protection and internet security, subnet, internet use
  • Configuring and hardening network infrastructure devices like switches, routers, firewalls etc.
  • Control and monitor the mail server, web navigation and installed software

Required profile for job ad : Senior Network Engineer - Mombasa

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Business Information Technology
  • Five (5) years of relevant working experience in computer networking systems
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software’s, hardware and networking protocols
  • Working knowledge and experience of switching and routing protocols
  • Networking experience in LAN, WAN and in configuring network architectures including VPNs Proxies, advanced routing architectures
  • CCNA, CCNP certifications will be an added advantage
