Position : Senior Diesel Technician (HCV / MCV / LCV’s) - Newcastle

A long-term opportunity exists for a Senior, highly experienced Senior Diesel Technician (HCV / MCV / LCV’S) to join a well-established operation based in Newcastle.

  • This role is not aimed at junior or mid-level technicians. The client requires a mature, confident, hands-on professional who can lead by example, support a younger technical team, and instil confidence in a demanding commercial client base operating across transport, agriculture, mining and related sectors.
  • This position offers career stability, future growth into senior workshop leadership, and the opportunity to settle long-term in the Newcastle region.

Responsibilities :

  • Advanced diagnostics, repairs and servicing on Heavy, Medium and Light commercial vehicles
  • Breakdown support, standby duties and customer site work
  • Mentoring, guiding and supporting junior techniciansAssisting with job quality control and technical problem-solving
  • Working closely with workshop management to improve standards and efficiencies
  • Maintaining high safety, workmanship and customer service standards
  • Representing the workshop professionally to fleet and commercial clients

Required profile for job ad : Senior Diesel Technician (HCV / MCV / LCV’s) - Newcastle

  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate (essential)
  • Min 10-15+ years’ post-trade experience in the Heavy, Medium and Light commercial vehicle industry
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Previous exposure to heavy commercial / workshop / service centre or similar high-volume workshop environment (adv)
  • Diverse brands exposure (adv)
  • Valid Code EC driver’s licence
  • Willingness to do standby, call-outs and overtime
  • Strong leadership presence and mentoring ability
  • Newcastle residency or relocation required.
