About the Opportunity
GOLDEN GELTON LTD. is recruiting on behalf of a leading and innovative media company in Zambia. Our client operates across broadcast, digital media, content production, and advertising platforms, serving a diverse and growing audience.
They are seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Business Analyst to drive data-informed decision-making, optimize business processes, and support digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
Role Purpose
The Senior Business Analyst will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, and executive leadership. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, revenue performance, audience analytics, advertising optimization, and digital product strategy within a fast-paced media environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Revenue Analysis

  • Analyze advertising revenue streams, subscription performance, audience metrics, and content profitability.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs for broadcast, digital, and social media platforms.
  • Provide strategic insights to improve monetization and audience engagement.

Requirements Gathering & Process Improvement

  • Lead stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather business and system requirements.
  • Map and redesign workflows across content production, sales, and distribution teams.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend automation or system enhancements.

Digital & Systems Support

  • Collaborate with IT and digital teams on CRM, CMS, ERP, and media analytics tools.
  • Support implementation of new media technologies and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions align with business objectives and scalability goals.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Support executive leadership with business cases, feasibility studies, and ROI analysis.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Contribute to long-term business planning and growth strategies.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Mentor junior analysts and coordinate cross-functional projects.
  • Act as a key liaison between finance, marketing, content, and technology departments.
  • Facilitate change management initiatives within the organization.

Required profile for job ad : Senior Business Analyst – Media Industry - Mashonaland Central

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, IT, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification (CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in business analysis, preferably within media, telecommunications, advertising, or digital platforms.
  • Strong experience in data analysis, financial modelling, and performance reporting.
  • Proven track record in managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau), ERP/CRM systems, and advanced Excel skills.
