Position : Sales Manager - Nairobi

We are looking for a Sales Manager
Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify leads and manage those through the company’s CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system
  • Maintain professional relationships with leads, potentials and existing Clients, both physically and digitally.
  • Liaise with the OPS team to ensure good understanding of customer and requirements.
  • Advise the customer about the technical possibilities, think along and convince
  • Draft quotes, write commercial proposals
  • Follow up on potentials and quotes
  • Negotiate terms & conditions, convince and make the sale
  • Process sales won and ensure a correct transfer of the project to the Operations team
  • Analyse sales lost and provide feedback to the team
  • Contribute to the sales meetings, particularly giving customer feedback and recommendations on market movements and how to stay ahead of the competition
  • Attend trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences and meetings
  • Identify new opportunities in existing and adjacent markets.
  • Develop new solutions as needed to gain market coverage to meet business objectives for growth.
  • Excellent Customer Experience: Maintain and develop customer relationships through ethical sales methods to optimize service quality, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence and Business Development: Anticipate, research, and report on changes in planning, laws, procedures, tariffs, and regulations.
  • Business Operations Support: Collaborate with other departments to establish and maintain effective support for the overall growth and operations of the organization.
  • Business Unit Profit and Loss Management: Manage business development activities to achieve profitability and revenue targets.

Required profile for job ad : Sales Manager - Nairobi

 

  • Bachelor degree in a commercial field and professional qualification
  • Knowledge in logistics, cold chains, FMCG and/or food supply chains; experience in technical sales or cooling infrastructure is not required but is an advantage
  • Strong presentation skills to communicate messages internally & externally
  • Ability to work in an independent manner as well as a MT member; critical thinker
  • Passionate about sales, goal-oriented, desire to deliver results
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong grasp of numbers: able to do cost calculations and make proposals for customer sales
  • Experienced with social media
  • 4+ years of experience in the sales of FMCGs or Logistics Services
  • Strong written English
