Sales Associate - Lusaka(Kafue)

Fresh Life works with municipalities and urban residents to develop and scale safe, citywide inclusive and financially sustainable sanitation solutions in fast-growing cities. Fresh Life is currently operational in 3 major cities in Kenya and 1 city in Zambia (Kafue- Zambia Compound). Our innovative solutions are designed to suit the realities of today’s cities, which are densely populated and heavily built up, particularly in low-income areas.

The objective of this role is to expand our franchise network, by identifying and selling our sanitation products and services. The Sales Associate is responsible for customer acquisition and retention, leading the sales and customer life cycle – including generating leads, pursuing opportunities, closing deals, managing the resulting customer relationships, and collecting future recurring payments.

  • Customer Acquisition and Retention.
  • Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the assigned sales area.

  • Maintain contact with clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Mapping and data collection to enable validation of a specific market territory.

  • Meet established sales targets, goals, and quotas within the assigned territory.

  • Ensure 100% collections of monthly service fee payments.

  • Generating leads, pursuing opportunities and closing deals.

  • Undertake careful record-keeping processes. 

  • Support and Operations

  • Report any operational issues within their sales area.

  • Ensuring success of Fresh Life Operators by supporting tenant training and launch of all new Fresh Life Toilets.

  • Execute sales support processes to expedite the conversion of sales (training, lease agreement signing).

Required profile for job ad : Sales Associate

  • Academic: Diploma/Degree in Business related course
  • 2+ years experience working in a field-based sales role
  • Comfortable working in informal settlements.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding targets
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels. Fluent in English and Nyanja– required
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Determined to succeed
  • Outgoing and proactive
  • Planning and Organisational skills.
