Position : Safety Officer - Johannesburg

Wbho Team is looking for dedicated and experienced Safety Officer registered with SACPCMP or professional association such as SAIOSH.
Responsibilities :

  • Risk Assessment: Identifying, evaluating, and controlling potential hazards in the workplace.
  • Accident Investigation: Investigating accidents and incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Safety Training: Developing and conducting safety training programs for employees.
  • Policy Development: Creating and implementing safety policies and procedures.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Developing and maintaining emergency response plans.
  • Inspections: Conducting regular safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaboration: Working with management and employees to promote a safety culture.

Required profile for job ad : Safety Officer - Johannesburg

  • Education: A degree in safety engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
  • Experience: Experience in safety management or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Safety Standards: Familiarity with OSHA, ANSI, and other relevant safety standards.
  • Strong Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
