Position : Regional Human Resources (HR) Lead - Windhoek
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Regional HR Lead will be responsible for delivering the full people lifecycle across all Namibian sites, ensuring compliance with local legislation and alignment with Byrnecut’s global standards. The role provides strategic and operational HR leadership, manages site-based HR teams, and acts as the primary HR liaison with government and regulatory bodies. This senior role is ideal for a Namibian HR professional with strong knowledge of local labour legislation and experience working across multiple operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement HR strategy across all Byrnecut Namibia operations
- Ensure full compliance with Namibian labour legislation, Affirmative Action and statutory obligations
- Provide senior HR advice to Operations Managers, Project Managers and site leadership teams
- Oversee employee and industrial relations, including grievances, misconduct cases, and investigations
- Lead and support site-based HR teams to deliver consistent HR services
- Manage recruitment, mobilisation and workforce planning for local employees
- Coordinate end-of-contract demobilisations, redundancies and transfers in line with legislation
- Act as the primary in country HR contact with Namibian government and regulatory bodies
- Support work permit and visa processes for expatriate employees where required
- Deliver accurate HR reporting, workforce data and compliance documentation

About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or similar
- Minimum 5 years’ HR experience, including 3 years in senior or multi-site leadership roles
- Strong working knowledge of the Namibian Labour Act, Affirmative Action reporting and statutory compliance
- Experience in mining, construction, heavy industry or large project environments
- Proven expertise in employee and industrial relations case management
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
- High standards of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
