Position : Quantity Surveyor - Kampala, Uganda

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of project costs from initial estimates to final accounts. The successful candidate will ensure that construction projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality and compliance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQs)
  • Monitor project costs and control expenditures throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare and evaluate tenders, contracts, and procurement documents
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify work done
  • Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts
  • Manage variations, claims, and cost reports
  • Advise on cost planning, value engineering, and risk management
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and industry standards
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and project teams

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Registration with a recognized professional body is an added advantage
  • Freshers and Minimum of 2 or less years of relevant work experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost control
  • Proficiency in measurement and cost estimation software
  • Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
