Position : Quantity Surveyor - Emalahleni

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor.
Role Overview:
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget, on time, and in accordance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
  • Manage project costs from inception to completion.
  • Prepare and evaluate tenders, quotations, and contract documents.
  • Measure works and value variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project expenditure and prepare cost reports.
  • Assess and certify contractor payments and progress claims.
  • Advise project teams on cost control, procurement strategies, and contractual matters.
  • Ensure compliance with contract conditions and statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities on projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. SACQSP).
  • 3–8 years’ experience in construction cost management.
  • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. JBCC, NEC, FIDIC).
  • Proficiency in cost management and measurement software.
