Position : Project Manager Education for Africa Program - Remote

Western Governors University College is seeking an experienced Projects Manager to lead and oversee key institutional projects. This role will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, strategic planning, and cross-functional team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of institutional projects.
  • Develop project scopes, objectives, and detailed work plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects align with the institution’s strategic goals and accreditation requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and ensure seamless collaboration between departments.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports to senior leadership.
  • Implement best practices and tools to optimize project management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field (PMP certification is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the education sector.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while managing multiple projects.
