Position : Program Manager-Maternal Health - Accra

An International NGO is seeking an experienced and qualified professional to serve as a Program Manager-Maternal Health. The successful candidate will provide technical and programmatic leadership in maternal health initiatives, ensuring improved access to and effective utilisation of maternal health commodities. The successful candidate will undertake research and produce publication-ready research papers, with strong storytelling skills to effectively communicate research findings.
Key Responsibilities:
Capacity Building:

  • Provide training and mentoring for nursing and midwifery staff in partner health facilities.

Learning and Development

  • undertake research and produce publication-ready research papers, with strong storytelling skills to effectively communicate research findings.
  • Prepare timely reports, proposals, and presentations.

 Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Support partner facilities on timely preparation and submission of monthly reports.

Partnership Management

  • Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, donors, media and communities, to strengthen maternal health systems.
  • Support the development of fund-raising proposals and periodic donor reports.

 Qualifications & Experience:

  • A master’s degree or higher in Public Health, Maternal Health, or a related field.
  • Background in Midwifery.
  • Demonstrated research background with proven contribution to maternal health studies or publications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; must be a good speaker, outspoken and confident.
