Product Specialist - Dar Es Salaam

Job Summary:
We are is seeking a skilled and experienced Product Specialist who will be responsible for promoting and selling Encore Medics' medical and analytical devices, creating demand for the products among healthcare professionals and institutions. This role involves direct sales and marketing activities, establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. A predominantly field-based role, the Specialist will support the sales process by providing competitor and market knowledge, execution of commercial strategies and careful management of a sales pipeline and process to meet or exceed operating plans. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities
 
Sales Execution

• Working closely with new and existing clients to resolve their present and future needs and proposing suitable products, services and upgrades in order to maintain and grow revenue for the organisation
• In conjunction with the Sales and Portfolio teams, develop sales and marketing strategies for the product group including the identification of new business opportunities so that profitable portfolio and business growth is achieved
• Attend to customers' inquiries, prepare professional proposals and quotations, and provide necessary sales follow-up and after-sales service.
• Design and deliver effective product/technical presentations or training that promote the features and benefits of our product range.
• Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, tender documents, contract administration, planning, and scheduling work programs.
• Conduct opportunities and surveys of industry trends and competitor products, identify marketing opportunities, and contribute to business growth.
• Gain a solid understanding of the customer's requirements and application needs on a technical level so as to ensure the most suitable solution is being proposed.
• Liaise with Product Management to ensure inventory and product forecasting targets are met and customer/marketing expectations are achieved.
• Schedule periodic visits to all customers and conduct satisfaction surveys.
• Develop and maintain good after-sales support and goodwill with customers.
• Help build up customer training and reference sites for software/equipment evaluation and training.
• Work with the team to prepare marketing collateral, advertising campaigns and competitor analysis
• Help to resolve customer technical issues to high customer satisfaction.
• Conduct market research and analysis to understand customer needs and market trends.
• Provide feedback to management on market conditions and product performance.

 
Pipeline and Opportunity Management

• Maintain an accurate opportunity funnel for all assigned product, including closure dates and completed sales process (partners engaged, next steps, competition etc)
• Accurately maintain a record of customer visits and interactions using the CRM platform completed by the end of each week
