Position : Procurement Manager - Harare
We are looking for a Procurement Manager.
Job Summary
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for all goods and services required by the company. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
- Identify and qualify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate contracts to achieve favourable terms and pricing.
- Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
- Monitor and analyse market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and supply chain efficiencies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality service and product delivery.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as finance, logistics, and operations to ensure alignment of procurement activities with overall business objectives.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure compliance with financial guidelines and policies.
- Prepare reports and presentations on procurement performance and strategies for senior management.
- Implement and maintain procurement best practices and standards, including risk management and sustainability initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor procurement staff, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

- Proficient in procurement software and tools; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
