Position : Plant Manager - Arusha

We are looking for a Plant Manager.
As Plant Manager for a plastic moulding company, you're responsible for the overall success of the plant's operations, encompassing production, quality, safety, and employee management to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets. 
Here's a more detailed breakdown of key responsibilities:
Production and Operations:

  • Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory requirements. 
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. 
  • Resource Management: Ensure optimal utilisation of human resources, machinery, and equipment. 
  • Problem Solving: Directly address and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues. 
  • Data Analysis: Review production and operating reports to identify trends and areas for improvement. 
  • Capacity Planning: Assess and plan for future production capacity needs. 

Quality and Safety:

  • Quality Control: Establish and maintain production and quality control standards. 
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations. 
  • Safety: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. 
  • Training: Ensure all employees are adequately trained on safety procedures and company policies.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field of engineering (e.g., chemical, mechanical, industrial), or a science-related discipline is highly desirable. 

  • Work Experience:

Several years (8+ years) of experience in a supervisory or management role within the plastic moulding industry is preferred. 

  • Supervisory Experience:

Experience in leading and managing teams, setting goals, and motivating employees is essential. 
Skills and Competencies:

Strong leadership skills are paramount, including the ability to motivate, delegate, and guide a team to achieve goals.
