Physical Education Teacher - Nairobi

We are looking for a Physical Education Teacher.
The Physical Education Teacher will plan, organize, and deliver engaging physical education lessons that promote students’ physical fitness, health, and well-being. This role requires fostering anan environment that encourages sportsmanship, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.
Responsibilities :
1. Lesson Planning and Delivery

• Develop and implement a comprehensive P.E. curriculum that aligns with the school’s educational goals and national standards.
• Planned and delivered age-appropriate lessons for students focusing on physical fitness, motor skills, and team sports.
• Introduce students to a variety of physical activities, sports, and health practices.

2. Student Development

• Monitor and assess students’ physical development, skills, and performance.
• Encourage and support students in achieving their fitness goals.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all students.

3. Extracurricular Activities

• Organize and oversee school sports teams, clubs, and inter-school competitions.
• Coach and mentor students in various sports and physical activities.
• Plan and coordinate annual sports days and other school-wide physical events.

4. Health and Safety

• Ensure that all physical activities are conducted in a safe environment and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Inspect and maintain sports equipment and facilities to ensure they are in proper condition.
• Provide first aid when necessary and report any injuries to the school administration.

5. Collaboration

• Work with other teachers to integrate physical education with other subjects and school initiatives.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' progress and participation in P.E. activities.
