Position : Part-Time Web Designer - Bulawayo

We are looking for a Part-Time Web Designer.
Responsibilities :

  • WordPress Website Designing & Maintenance:
    • Design and maintain WordPress websites for multiple business units.
    • Implement custom themes, plugins, and functionalities tailored to brand needs.
    • Ensure websites are optimised for speed, performance, and SEO compliance.
  • UI/UX Design:
    • Create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to enhance website functionality and usability.
    • Design visually engaging and responsive layouts that work seamlessly across devices.
    • Conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and implement necessary improvements.
  • Content & Visual Management:
    • Update website content and images while adhering to brand standards.
    • Design and edit digital assets, banners, and visual imagery for websites.
  • Technical Support:
    • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, ensuring consistent functionality.
    • Stay informed about WordPress updates, plugins, and emerging web technologies.

Required profile for job ad : Part-Time Web Designer - Bulawayo

Qualifications:

  • Any qualification in Web Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience and Skills:

  • WordPress design
  • WordPress themes and plugin customization.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS
  • Strong command of UX/UI principles, interaction design, and accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and website performance optimisation tools.
  • Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Divi.
  • Basic understanding of Photoshop.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Be able to provide at least a single live site

  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly.

Salary:

  • Commission based.
