Medical Laboratory Technician - Badagry

Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The Medical Laboratory Technician will operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensure the accuracy of test results, and adhere to established protocols and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures in areas such as hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and molecular biology.
• Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens, ensuring proper handling and labeling.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Record and report test results accurately and promptly to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Conduct quality control checks and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory procedures, test results, and quality control data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with advances in laboratory techniques and technologies.
• Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
