Position : Market Access and Program Implementation Officer - Ghana

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Market Access and Program Implementation Officer to support the design, rollout, and management of an oncology access program across Ghana.The Officer will work closely with healthcare providers, hospitals, and regulatory bodies to enhance cancer drug access, establish Centres of Excellence (CoEs), support healthcare professional (HCP)education initiatives, and oversee product tracking, patient monitoring systems and track program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Market Access & Rapid Assessments

  • Conduct rapid market assessments, including stakeholder mapping, competitor analysis, pricing evaluations, and regulatory reviews.
  • Support strategic planning for country-level oncology access program implementation. Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
  • Identify, onboard, and engage Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to promote access to oncology therapeutics.
  • Facilitate relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), professional societies, regulatory bodies, and healthcare organizations.

Healthcare Professional (HCP) Education

  • Coordinate HCP education programs, including localization and delivery of CME content.
  • Link HCPs to relevant BMS and MLH educational resources.

Order Management and Patient Monitoring

  • Assist healthcare providers with order processing, tracking of drug distribution, and patient monitoring activities.
  • Maintain documentation and provide ongoing support for program logistics.

Program Reporting and Continuous Improvement

  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes for oncology access initiatives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to refine program activities and impact.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
  • Professional Experience: 3+ years in pharmaceutical market access, healthcare program implementation, or oncology support roles.
  • Healthcare Systems Knowledge: In-depth understanding of healthcare systems and regulatory environments in East Africa.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects across different countries.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to perform data-driven analysis and stakeholder mapping.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English; French is an added advantage.
  • Passion for Innovation: Enthusiasm for leveraging technology and partnerships to transform healthcare access in Africa.
