Position : Manager - Provider Networks - Gaborone
Health Risk Management Botswana (HRMB) invites suitably qualified, motivated and talented individuals to apply for the position Manager - Provider Networks.
Responsibilities :
The Manager – Provider Networks is responsible for developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with healthcare providers, ensuring quality service delivery, and overseeing the department's operational efficiency. The role involves managing provider contracts, resolving service issues, and driving initiatives to enhance provider engagement and satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and service standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for healthcare providers, addressing queries, resolving disputes, and maintaining regular communication.
- Organise and conduct regular stakeholder engagements, workshops, and training sessions.
- Negotiate, draft, and manage provider agreements, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and industry regulations.
- Monitor contract performance and adherence to agreed terms, addressing any issues promptly.
- Identify and onboard new healthcare providers to expand the organisation's provider network.
- Conduct due diligence and accreditation processes for new providers to ensure quality standards are met.
- Develop strategies to enhance departmental efficiency, reduce service gaps, and improve patient outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of providers to ensure they meet quality, compliance, and service delivery standards.
- Address provider complaints and escalate complex issues to Executive management when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of provider information, including contracts, performance metrics, and correspondence.
- Generate regular reports for management presentation.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with healthcare providers, ensuring regular updates on organisational policies, service offerings, and operational changes.
- Lead and manage the Provider Relations team to ensure high performance, collaboration, and achievement of departmental objectives.
Required profile for job ad : Manager - Provider Networks - Gaborone
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent qualification.
- At least 3-5 years proven experience in a similar role.
- Proven leadership capability is essential.
- Experience with healthcare claims and case management is advantageous.
- Must have proven experience in relationship and stakeholder management.

- Analytical Skills - Proficiency in analysing data, and making informed decisions.
