Position : IT Intern - Nairobi

We are looking for a young, creative, energetic and qualified IT Intern.
Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the entire process of designing, building, testing, deploying and maintaining important customer friendly web applications.
  • Maintain, advance and improve our website experience for our customers.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of high-quality software solutions for the company and our customers
  • Participate in the creation of landing pages for our new services, features, and marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with other team members to identity priority areas and bring about creative and sales and marketing strategies.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging software issues.
  • Use different technologies and tools to support the delivery of high-quality software
  • Contribute in project development by analyzing project requirements, design documents and maintain software specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development

 

Required profile for job ad : IT Intern - Nairobi

 

  • A degree in programming, computer science, software engineering or a related field.
  • Competence in frontend tools like CSS/HTML/Javascript/Tailwind/AlpineJS
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or Ruby
  • Proficiency with software testing using PHPUnit
  • Experience in MySQL or other related database
  • Knowledge of front-end development frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • A passion for software development and a desire to learn and grow in the field
  • Ability to produce content on time, with attention to detail
  • Pro-active team player with the ability to perform various tasks creatively as well as cohesively.
  • Willingness to learn new things as well as work in other areas.   
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, competitive and proactive attitude.
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of any of the following languages: Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian is an added advantage
