As we expand, we are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced insurance professional to join our team as a Senior Insurance Executive
This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Native English speaker or equivalent
  • Is a self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives
  • Excels at building and managing corporate client relationships
  • Has deep technical knowledge of general insurance products (PI, D&O, liability insurance, motor fleet, travel, etc.)
  • Is commercially minded and capable of structuring complex insurance programmes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and retain a portfolio of corporate general insurance clients
  • Structure, negotiate, and place general insurance covers with insurers to meet clients’ needs
  • Advise corporate clients on risk exposures, insurance options, and claims processes
  • Ensure all placements comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Drive new business development through networking and market insight
  • Liaise with insurers and reinsurers to secure competitive terms
  • Support in developing innovative insurance solutions and corporate proposals
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the team when required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in general insurance, with a focus on corporate insurance broking
  • Strong network and reputation in the Mauritian insurance market
  • Excellent negotiation, advisory, and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • A logical, solution-oriented mindset with a proven ability to think outside the box.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex accounts
  • Sound understanding of Mauritian insurance regulations and corporate risk management needs
  • Experience in claims handling, preferably in general insurance; insurance claims experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in managing sensitive client issues with professionalism, confidentiality and empathy.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Relevant insurance qualifications (e.g. Degree in Risk Management and Insurance,AINS, ARMS, ACII, ANZIIF, or equivalent) will be a strong advantage
