Position : Industrial Electrician - Ladysmith

Our client, a well-established industrial manufacturing operation in Ladysmith, is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Industrial Electrician to support continuous plant operations and high-temperature production processes.
This role is suited to a technically strong, disciplined electrician who is comfortable working in a high-risk, high-heat industrial environment and who understands the pressures of manufacturing uptime, breakdown response, and standby support.
Responsibilities :

  • Electrical maintenance, fault-finding, repair, and optimisation of plant equipment
  • Electrical support to high-temperature furnaces, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Medium-voltage switching and isolation (up to 11kV)
  • PLC fault-finding and basic programming (Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta)
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings
  • Breakdown response, standby duties, and planned maintenance
  • Supervisory support and weekly progress reporting
  • Compliance with safety, quality, and plant procedures

  • Trade Tested Electrician
  • N4 Electrical Qualification
  • Wireman’s Licence (essential)
  • Minimum 4-5 years post trade-test industrial experience
  • High-temperature furnace instrumentation exposure
  • 11kV switching experience
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Strong fault-finding and attention to detail
  • Traceable & contactable references
  • Local residency or relocation required
