Position : ICT Manager - Nairobi

We are looking for an ICT Manager.
The ICT Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the organization’s information and communication technology systems. The role ensures that ICT infrastructure, applications, and services support business operations efficiently, securely, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities

  1. ICT Strategy and Planning

    • Develop and implement ICT strategies aligned with organizational goals.
    • Plan and manage ICT projects, system upgrades, and new technology implementation.
    • Advise management on technology trends and improvements.
  2. Systems and Network Management

    • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of ICT infrastructure including servers, networks, and hardware.
    • Ensure systems availability, reliability, and performance.
    • Manage system backups and disaster recovery plans.
  3. Information Security

    • Implement and maintain ICT security policies and procedures.
    • Monitor systems for security threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Ensure protection of company data and information assets.
  4. IT Support and Service Management

    • Manage the IT support team and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
    • Ensure effective helpdesk support for staff.
    • Maintain service standards and system documentation.
  5. Budget and Asset Management

    • Prepare and manage the ICT budget.
    • Oversee procurement of ICT equipment and software.
    • Maintain inventory of ICT assets.
  6. Vendor and Stakeholder Management

    • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
    • Coordinate ICT services with internal departments.
  7. Compliance and Policy Management

    • Ensure compliance with ICT policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and update ICT policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as Cisco (CCNA), Microsoft, ITIL, or CompTIA are desirable.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in ICT/IT management.
