Position : Human Resource Manager - Accra
Job Description
The Human Resource Manager at GreenGate Foods is responsible for planning, developing, and managing human resource strategies that support efficient food processing operations and business growth. The role ensures compliance with Ghanaian labour laws, promotes employee engagement, and supports a productive, ethical, and safe workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Administration
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems aligned with company objectives.
- Advise management on human resource planning, workforce development, and organizational structure.
- Manage employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
Recruitment & Talent Management
- Lead recruitment, selection, onboarding, and induction processes for all staff levels.
- Coordinate training and staff development programs to enhance skills and performance.
- Support succession planning and talent retention initiatives.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Manage employee relations issues, disciplinary processes, and grievance handling.
- Implement performance management systems, including appraisals and feedback mechanisms.
- Promote positive workplace culture, teamwork, and staff engagement.
Compensation, Payroll & Benefits
- Oversee payroll administration in collaboration with Finance.
- Manage employee benefits, leave, and welfare programs.
- Ensure fair and competitive compensation structures.
Compliance & Industrial Relations
- Ensure full compliance with Ghana Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651) and related regulations.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, unions, and external stakeholders where required.
- Support health, safety, and food safety compliance in collaboration with the HSE and Quality teams.
Required profile for job ad : Human Resource Manager - Accra
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., IHRMP, CIPD) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or food processing.
- Strong knowledge of Ghanaian labour laws and HR best practices.
- Experience handling payroll, performance management, and employee relations.
