M31 Research is seeking experienced HIV Consultants to join our team in Kenya. We are looking for professionals with a strong background in working with international organisations such as UNICEF, USAID, and World Bank. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record in conducting HIV Assessments, Evaluations, and providing Technical Assistance, particularly in Kenya, to support the fight against HIV/AIDS and improve the lives of affected populations.
Responsibilities :

  • Lead and participate in HIV-related assessments, evaluations, and research projects in Kenya, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client and stakeholder needs.
  • Provide technical assistance and advisory support to international organisations, government bodies, and other stakeholders in designing, implementing, and evaluating HIV programmes.
  • Develop and review project proposals, technical reports, and other documentation related to HIV interventions, tailored to the Kenyan context.
  • Conduct data analysis and interpret findings to inform HIV policy development and programme decisions.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including local communities, healthcare professionals, government officials, and donors, to ensure the relevance and impact of HIV initiatives.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, research, and best practices in HIV prevention, care, and treatment, with a focus on applications within Kenya.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Master’s or PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Medicine, or a related field with a focus on HIV/AIDS.
  • A minimum of seven years of professional experience in the HIV sector, with substantial experience working with international organisations such as UNICEF, USAID, WHO, or other major donors.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting HIV assessments, evaluations, and providing technical assistance in Kenya.
  • Expertise in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of HIV programmes, with a focus on achieving sustainable and impactful results.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.
  • Familiarity with data collection tools and methodologies relevant to HIV evaluations.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
