Position : Healthcare Administrator - Gaborone

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Healthcare Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, financial management, and quality patient care. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day administrative and operational activities within the healthcare facility.
  • Manage budgets, financial reports, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Maintain accurate medical and administrative records while ensuring confidentiality and data security.
  • Enhance patient experience by addressing concerns, improving service workflows, and ensuring high-quality care delivery.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, department heads, and external stakeholders to streamline processes and align goals.
  • Monitor facility performance metrics and prepare operational reports for leadership.
  • Oversee procurement, equipment maintenance, and facility infrastructure needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree (MHA, MPH, MBA) is an added advantage.
  • +5 years proven experience in healthcare administration, hospital management, or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in healthcare information systems and administrative software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
