Handyman - South Africa

We are looking for a Handyman.
Missions:

• Handle maintenance materials with skill and care
• Supervise external service providers

• Carpentry:
• Attend to all carpentry work as per the carpentry decision tree
• Attend to maintenance of doors, locks, gates, cupboards, and windows
• Attend to burglar gates installation and maintenance work

• Basic Construction:
• Attend to all basic construction work such as bricklaying
• Attend to minor plastering work and maintenance thereof
• Attend to minor paving work and maintenance thereof
• Attend to painting work
• Attend to ceiling and cornice maintenance and installation work
• Attend to basic welding work
• Attend to minor tiling and skirting maintenance work
• Attend to roofing maintenance work
• Attend to fencing installation and maintenance work
• Attend to waterproofing installation and maintenance work
• Attend to gutter cleaning and maintenance work
• Attend to dustbin collection and return
• Attend to inspection of units and record inspection results

• Stakeholders
• Assist tenants on an ad-hoc basis with any reasonable requests
• Assist colleagues on an ad-hoc basis with any reasonable requests

STANDARDS:
POSITION-SPECIFIC:

• All documentation will be electronically filed and kept up-to-date in a cloud-based system:
• Strategic Plans and Reports
• Operating Manuals
• Property Maintenance Records

COMPANY-WIDE:

• All work will be performed according to company manuals, policies and procedures, in the spirit of the company’s Vision.
• All proprietary company information will be held as strictly confidential outside the company.
• Immediate line manager will be notified of any issues that cannot be resolved or deadlines that cannot be met within a reasonable time frame.
