Position : Finance Manager - Accra

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and highly motivated Finance Manager to join our growing finance team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing actionable insights to support business decision-making. This role requires strong leadership skills, financial expertise, and the ability to drive financial performance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. 
  • Develop, track, and update financial forecasts and budgets to ensure the company meets its financial objectives. 
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and cash flow. 
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting principles and standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS). 
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data by maintaining a robust system of internal controls. 
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate account reconciliation.
  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability. 
  • Manage the preparation and review of annual budgets and forecasts. 
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and implement financial strategies to optimize resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. 
  • Collaborate with auditors during annual audits and assist in preparing all necessary documentation. 
  • Evaluate financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risk exposure.
  • Partner with senior leadership and department heads to provide financial insight and support for decision-making. 
  • Assist in strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and capital projects from a financial perspective. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function and across the organization.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team. 
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven environment while ensuring the team adheres to deadlines and maintains a high level of accuracy.

Required profile for job ad : Finance Manager - Accra

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred. 
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial position. 
  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in financial modeling and analysis. 
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite). 
  • Strong Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. 
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
