We are looking for an Environmental and Social Expert (EES).
Job Summary:
The Environmental and Social Expert ensures that the rural electrification project complies with all environmental and social standards. He/she oversees ESIA, compensation, gender, and GBV action plans, and ensures community engagement and sustainable implementation.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA).
  • Implement and monitor compensation and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, gender, and GBV policies.
  • Monitor and report on environmental and social performance.
  • Engage with local communities and manage grievances.
  • Support project management in environmental and social planning.

Experience Required:

  • 10 years overall, including at least 5 years in similar rural electrification projects

Qualification:

  • Bac +4 Diploma in Environmental or Social Sciences or equivalent

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven experience in environmental and social management for infrastructure or electrification projects.
  • Knowledge of ESIA procedures and international standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Capacity to coordinate with multiple stakeholders (communities, clients, and authorities).
