Position : Commercial Service Advisor and Parts Coordinator - Pongola
An opportunity exists for a versatile and experienced workshop / dealership / fleet maintenance professional, Commercial Service Advisor and Parts Coordinator to join a service centre based in Pongola.
- This role is ideal for a candidate who has worked within a truck dealership or fleet workshop environment, and is comfortable handling a combination of service advisory, parts sales, and administrative functions.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting workshop operations, customer service, and parts coordination within a busy, hands-on commercial vehicle environment.
- This is a critical, all-rounder position requiring someone who can work independently, take ownership, and ensure smooth daily operations across both service and parts functions.
Responsibilities :
- Manage customer service interactions for vehicle bookings, repairs, and servicing
- Open and manage job cards, ensuring accurate fault descriptions and work allocation
- Liaise between customers, technicians, and workshop operations
- Provide service estimates, quotations, and job progress updates
- Handle parts sales, sourcing, ordering, and issuing of parts to technicians
- Maintain stock control and parts administration processes
- Coordinate workshop schedules and ensure efficient workflow
- Assist with invoicing, costing, and general administrative duties
- Ensure high levels of customer service and communication at all times
- Support workshop productivity and minimise vehicle downtime
Required profile for job ad : Commercial Service Advisor and Parts Coordinator - Pongola
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Min 4–6 years’ experience within a commercial truck service centre, workshop, dealership or similar environment
- Proven experience in a dual role (Service Advisor / Parts / Workshop Admin)
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicles / trucks (HCV / HMV)
- Experience with big name truck brands advantageous
- Exposure to dealership management systems (DMS) such as Kerridge, Autoline, Automate, Pinnacle, Truck Science, Transolve, CMS, SAP or similar advantageous
- Strong administrative, organisational, and multitasking skills
- Excellent customer service and communication ability
- Ability to work independently in a smaller branch / hands-on environment
- Computer literate (MS Office, workshop systems)
- Traceable & contactable references
- Local residency in Pongola preferred OR willingness to relocate
