Position : Civil Engineer - Juba Industrial Area

We are looking for a Civil Engineer.
The Civil Engineer in the oil and gas sector is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering works related to oil and gas infrastructure, including pipelines, refineries, storage facilities, and supporting infrastructure. The role ensures projects meet technical specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design and supervise civil works for oil and gas projects (foundations, structures, roads, drainage systems).
  • Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and soil investigations.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, piping, and structural engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Inspect construction work to ensure quality and adherence to design.
  • Manage contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
  • Prepare progress reports and documentation for management and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Master’s degree preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • 3–10 years of experience in civil engineering within oil, gas, or energy infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with construction supervision, site management, and technical documentation.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, or similar design software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and codes (API, ASME, local regulations).
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Working Conditions

  • Fieldwork at construction and oil & gas sites.
  • Potential travel to remote or onshore/offshore project locations.
  • Exposure to heavy machinery, construction environments, and strict safety protocols.
