We are looking for an efficient, courteous Cashier who possesses excellent customer service skills. The cashier will scan the customer’s selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information to customers products, promotions, or item location. You will also respond to complaints, process refunds or exchanges of items, and maintain a clean workspace.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations.
2. Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.
3. Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
4. Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.
5. Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints.
6. Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport.
7. Following all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or the purchase of specific items, such as alcohol or cigarettes.
8. Maintaining a clean workspace.
9. Redeem stamps and coupons
10. Cross-sell products and introduce new ones

CORE REQUIREMENTS :

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Customer service or cashier experience.
3. Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
4. High level of energy with strong customer service skills.
5. Basic math and computer skills.
6. Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.
