Position : Camp Manager - Maun

Our client is seeking a Camp Manager to join their Botswana team. The position will be on site which is based just outside of Maun, close to Ghanzi.

  • You will manage the site services to clients in accordance with agreed client service standards and within budgetary limits.
  • To ensure optimal management of all site resources in accordance with Company standards and policy and in compliance with health, safety, quality and risk best practice and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Accuracy and timeliness of site reporting and documentation (including bin cards, time and attendance, incidents, etc.).
  • Achievement of site performance targets relating to: GP performance. EBITDA performance.
  • Debtors days. Stock days. Staff absenteeism.
  • Staff overtime.
  • HSE incidents.
  • Independent HSE rating.
  • Independent internal audit rating.

Required profile for job ad : Camp Manager - Maun

Qualifications:  

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in commerce, business management or similar and at least 10 years’ experience in a related environment (preferably feeding in excess of 500 people) of which 4 should be in a camp management capacity.
  • At least 12 years’ experience in a related environment (preferably feeding in excess of 500 people) of which 5 should be in a senior camp management capacity with demonstrable competence in the strategic, business and commercial aspects of the management role.
  • Drivers licence.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
  • Knowledge of Industrial relations.
  • Knowledge of Catering management and hospitality management practices and policies.
  • Knowledge of Stock control principles.
  • Knowledge of Project administration practices.
