Position : Business Manager - Nairobi
Role Overview
The Business Manager will be responsible for driving market entry, revenue growth, and strategic partnerships in Kenya.
This is a high-ownership leadership role suited for a commercially astute professional who understands the Kenyan enterprise and financial services landscape and can build executive-level relationships across banks, fintechs, and large enterprises.
You will own revenue generation, pipeline development, and local market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for Kenya.
- Identify, qualify, and close new B2B business opportunities.
- Build, manage, and forecast a strong sales pipeline.
- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Drive enterprise account acquisition across priority sectors.
2. Strategic Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives (CIOs, CTOs, CFOs).
- Engage banks, fintechs, and enterprise organizations.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
- Position Marlocks Technologies as a trusted digital transformation partner.
3. Partnership & Ecosystem Development
- Identify and manage high-impact local partnerships.
- Collaborate with ecosystem stakeholders, including cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services.
- Drive joint go-to-market initiatives and co-selling opportunities.
4. Business Operations & Reporting
- Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to leadership.
- Track KPIs and performance metrics.
- Support contract negotiations and commercial deal structuring.
- Deliver regular performance and pipeline reports to the Founder/CEO.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management.
- Experience in technology, cloud, fintech, or enterprise services is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Kenyan financial services and enterprise landscape.
- Demonstrated success closing B2B enterprise deals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to operate independently in a high-growth environment.
