Position : Business Development Ofiicer (B2B) - Nairobi
We are looking for a Business Development Ofiicer (B2B).
Responsibilities :
1. Key account management.
- Client relationships: Managing long-term relationships with a select few clients. They are the primary point of contact for clients and act as a liaison between the company and the client.
- Strategic planning: Developing and implementing plans to achieve sales targets, identify new business opportunities, and foster account growth.
- Business reviews: Conduct regular reviews with clients to assess their needs, address concerns, and provide solutions.
- Revenue and retention: Managing revenue and retention and analyzing spending habits.
- Growth opportunities: Identify growth opportunities and look for ways to grow sales from existing and new accounts.
- Deadline management: Working within the company to ensure deadlines for the client are met.
2. Supplier account management.
- Understanding the client and company
A supplier account manager should understand the client's business, market, competitors, and financial performance. They should also understand the company's products, sales propositions, capabilities, and financial performance.
- Managing suppliers
A supplier account manager evaluates suppliers' financial information and manages the findings of the financial evaluation and risk assessment. They also lead price negotiations for the assigned supplier portfolio.
- Developing strategy
A supplier account manager works with business units to define and implement the global procurement strategy and policy. They also develop supplier strategy development programs.
- Managing contracts
A supplier account manager is responsible for contract management, including developing, maintaining, and executing contracts.
