Position : Business Development and Corporate Communications Officer - Lilongwe

Role Purpose
We are looking for a Business Development and Corporate Communications Officer.
The Business Development & Corporate Communications Officer is responsible for growing Inde Feedback’s client base, strengthening its public and institutional profile, and positioning the company as a trusted accountability partner.
The role combines strategic business development, proposal writing, partnership building, and corporate communications, ensuring that Inde Feedback’s services are clearly understood, professionally presented, and effectively marketed to target audiences.
This role is not commission-only sales; it is a relationship-driven, credibility-focused growth role.
Key Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across:
    • NGOs and donor-funded programmes
    • Government institutions and parastatals
    • Corporates and regulated private sector organisations
  • Map and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients
  • Lead initial engagements, presentations, and service demonstrations
  • Support contract negotiations and onboarding processes
  • Track leads, opportunities, and conversion rates

B. Proposal Development & Bidding

  • Lead development of technical and financial proposals
  • Adapt standard proposal templates to client and donor requirements
  • Coordinate inputs from Operations, M&E, and Management
  • Prepare concept notes, expressions of interest (EOIs), and bid responses
  • Ensure proposals reflect compliance, governance, and safeguard expectations

C. Corporate Communications & Brand Management

  • Manage Inde Feedback’s corporate image and messaging
  • Develop and maintain content for:
    • Company website
    • Brochures and capability statements
    • Social media and digital platforms
    • Corporate presentations and pitch decks
  • Ensure consistent branding, tone, and messaging across all platforms

D. Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with:
    • Donors and development partners
    • Government agencies and regulators
    • Industry associations and networks
    • Strategic partners and consultants
  • Represent Inde Feedback at forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings

E. Marketing & Visibility

  • Develop and implement a marketing and visibility plan
  • Promote Inde Feedback services through targeted campaigns
  • Support publication of case studies, success stories, and thought leadership content
  • Coordinate media engagements where appropriate

F. Internal Coordination & Knowledge Management

  • Work closely with:
    • Managing Director on strategy and positioning
    • Operations & Compliance Manager on service alignment
    • M&E & Analytics Officer on evidence and performance data
  • Maintain up-to-date corporate documents and marketing materials

G. Ethics, Accuracy & Compliance

  • Ensure all communications are accurate, ethical, and compliant
  • Avoid over-promising or misrepresentation of system capabilities

Uphold confidentiality and professional standards in all engagements

Required Qualifications & Experience
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Development Studies, or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in:
    • Business development
    • Corporate communications
    • Proposal writing or partnerships
  • Demonstrated experience working with NGOs, donors, government, or regulated corporates
  • Proven track record in proposal development or client acquisition
