Position : Boilermaker - Johannesburg

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining boilers, tanks, and other heavy steel structures. This role requires technical precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Fabricate and assemble boiler components using tools such as welding machines, cutting torches, and grinders.
  • Install and maintain boilers, pressure vessels, and tanks.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on existing boiler systems.
  • Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with engineers, welders, and other tradespeople on job sites or in workshops.

 

Required profile for job ad : Boilermaker - Johannesburg

  • Trade certification as a Boilermaker or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Skilled in various welding techniques (e.g., arc, MIG, TIG).
  • Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Knowledge of pressure testing and boiler codes.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different work sites.
