Position : Biology Teacher - Bindura

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Temporary Biology Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction to students from Form 3 to A Level. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Cambridge IGCSE/O Level and AS/A Level Biology, ensuring students are thoroughly prepared for their external examinations. This role requires a strong command of the subject matter, particularly in guiding students through the practical components of the Cambridge syllabus.

Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Learning

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Form 3 and 4 (IGCSE/O Level) and Form 5 and 6 (AS/A Level) according to current Cambridge syllabi.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying student abilities, ensuring all learners can access the curriculum.
  • Complete the syllabus within the designated timeframe, ensuring coverage of all key topics prior to examinations.

2. Practical Science

  • Design and conduct regular biology laboratory practicals to develop students' scientific inquiry skills.
  • Prepare students specifically for Paper 3 (Advanced Practical Skills) for A Level and Paper 6 (Alternative to Practical) or Paper 5 (Practical Test) for O Level/IGCSE.
  • Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols during all sessions.

3. Assessment & Reporting

  • Set, mark, and grade assignments, tests, and internal examinations in line with Cambridge marking standards.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to help them improve their exam technique.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
